Dudamel wants to lead the “Die Walküre” concert show

Los Angeles – Los Angeles (AP) – Gustavo Dudamel will perform musical performances for Wagner “Die Walküre” in highlighting his seventeenth and final season as a music manager in Los Angeles Filharmoni.

The orchestra said on Thursday with the announcement of the 2025-26 season called “Gracias Gustavo: The design will be scenic by Frank Jerry, the engineer of Walt Disney Hall.

Dudamel will perform “Harmonium” John Adams and Antonio Estévez “Cantata Criolla” from 5 to 7 June 2026, at his final concerts in Disney Hall as a music director. Dudamel chose the works to honor his Venezuelan and American identities.

He will lead the orchestra in his season in Hollywood Paul 2026 before starting as a music manager in the New York Orchestra in 2026.

The Los Angeles season opens on September 25 with Duddam and a global show for a work without an orchestra and choir by the salinity of the Politzer Eileen Reed award, which participated in its agreement in New York Felharmonik.

He takes the orchestra on a tour of Seoul, South Korea; Tokyo and Taiwan, Taiwan, from 20 to 30 October.
