“Parents and Motherhood” receives 7.5 out of 10 stars.
The first offer on MAX on March 13, “The Parenting” is the latest mix of terror and comedy that arrives this year – one of the most successful so far.
Mushively mix this type of the possession story presented by “The Exorcist” allied with the old style of “Meet the Parents”, and the movie Craig Johnson works on both fronts, and throws a committed team in the roles.

Comedy and horror tend to be somewhat normal, but getting a balance between the two can be difficult, as one can cancel the other. Certainly, “paternity and motherhood” tends heavier on the comic side and does not really have a lot of terror, but it does a good job in weaving the species into a coherent whole.
Many jokes are necessary and come out of the character, which means that this works on several levels, including some total moments and the authentic development of the story.
The scenario and the direction

The movie’s scenario comes from Kent Srouttete, who has long worked in “Saturday Night Live”, and worked on writing teams from various awards shows. But although there are complaints in recent years about a decline in comedy levels in the chain of distinguished, “Parents and Motherhood” does not show any signs of this delay.
Laughing comes thick and fast with this movie, which roots in certified characters, while the horror side is also fun and well designed.
It is likely to be guess early on what is already happening here, but this does not detract from the amount of fun you will see the movie itself.

As a director, Craig Johnson mostly worked in the independent field about films including “The Squeeleton Twins”, “True Tear -Etercents” and “Alex Strangelove”. He was also behind the camera for offers such as “Minx,” Gossip Girl “and” School Spirits “.
Here, it brings the skills that focus on the characters on the film, encourage actors to extend themselves and bring a game A to various roles.
While the side of terror is one of the things, as we mentioned, less than focus, it is still brought to the screen in an interesting way. Fear is a good shot and the demonic side of the story has only the right level of strange energy.

If the text and the direction are both winners, the team of charming and funny actors is the same as the same as the final success of the film.
As central figures, the two actors Nick Dudani and Brandon Flynn participate in a warm chemistry where the couple who are nervously prepares to meet their parents (while Rohan also plans to suggest Josh, adding an additional layer of anxiety). They feel their going, as they do their increasing responses to each other’s family units.
What are the family units! The adopted fathers are Frank (Brian Cox) withdrawing, and Sharon Smart, who is difficult to satisfy (Eddie Falco), who are not in the best way in the situation they find. This is before the diabolical angle begins.

Falco does well here, plays from anyone else, and lets the comedy flow naturally. As stations from Sharon Bell, we discover much more about her and the extent of her interest in her son.
As for Cox, he is great here, his character with the first buttons owned by Satan who is lying inside the rental house that was renewed and turned into something completely different.
Lisa Kudro, at the same time, tends to Kokiness of Liddy, Josh’s mother, but this is not the cloning of Vepe; Instead, it’s a good person looking to enjoy and becomes more interested as the movie continues.
It is well identical by Dean Norris, the Great Abi Josh in Josh, who just wants everyone to match, but also ready when the worst happens.

Then there is Sarah Vivian Bang, Out Out Pass Pal, which takes a panic text from Rohan as a reason to attend the rental house and inject her own brand from the positions of the party girl. But it even goes beyond the eye.
Finally, there is Parker Bossi Brenda Western Decares, which runs the tenant and may have a greater relationship with the problem of possession more than anyone might be suspicious at first. Pose solid in this role, which brings an anomalous energy in particular.
And actors as a whole game at all for laughter – how many films you have seen as Brian Cox vomits naked throughout another character? Or have you seen Edda Falko amazed at the toilet by people walking on it?

“Parents and Motherhood” is a truly entertaining mixture of laughter and chills, although you may be surprised that it does not go out around the Halloween, but it must work on any night movie that needs a mixture of species.
The solid text program, the wonderful style and the wonderful broadcast makes this one stands out. It is not a perfect movie, but it is a really fun movie.
