Raw exports of India reached their highest levels in February, when sanctions are filled with Russia

Houston (Reuters) – Ship tracking data showed that the export of the United States of crude oil to India last month ascended to its highest level in more than two years, as refining refineries in the country sought to obtain alternative supplies after more stressful US sanctions on Russian producers and companies.

Kpler’s ship tracking data showed that the United States, which released about 357,000 barrels per day (BPD) from crude to India, in February, in February, showed shipping data from KPLER. Compared to exports about 221,000 barrels last day.

The jump in exports to India confirms how multiple rounds of sanctions imposed by Washington on ships and entities dealing with oil from Iran and Russia since October, trade with the main importers of its Zioui.

India said last month that energy purchases from the United States may rise to $ 25 billion in the near future from $ 15 billion last year.

“Indian refineries are trying to diversify their raw supplies, especially light, light, light barrels,” said Rohit Rathoud, a senior analyst at Vortexa.

“The sanctions on the Russian ships that were recently prompted the Indian buyers to search elsewhere,” he added.

About 80 % of the exported crude to India was light light from West Texas Intermediate mediator, according to the data.

Among the major buyers are Indian Oil Corp, ReliaCE Industries, Bharat Petroleum Corp, according to data, while the United States included Occidental Petroleum, Majorrs Equinor, Exxon Mobil and Trading House Gunvor.

Companies did not immediately respond to the comments requests or refused to comment.

The United States has also exported a record 656,000 barrels per day from crude to South Korea in February, where a 10 % tariff was directed at American oil by China, which was re -directed.

Exports to China from the United States have declined to 76,000 barrels per day, from the lowest volumes in the past five years.
