Searching orders for Rapids lead to 170 lbs of marijuana and 6 suspended arrests and deportation

A man who was arrested for drugs was arrested three times in recent years by the drug enforcement unit in the Rapids region, but he is now facing deportation.

Guangyi He, 38, was detained by immigration and customs enforcement agents after his arrest in an operation on February 13 by Rade, who regained about 170 lbs of marijuana, according to a press statement of the Rapids Bishop of Sharif.

The law enforcement was aware of it, which was arrested in December 2023 due to simple traffic violations. The station eventually found 51 lbs of marijuana inside the Nissan Titan, which he was leading, according to Sharif’s office at that time.

This investigation, which led to his arrest after about a month, began with two others, in a pineville parking lot. The agents seized about 66 lbs of marijuana and about 35,000 dollars in cash.

He had a trial in January in the ninth judicial provincial court for a felony of extortion, and possessing more than 2.5 pounds of marijuana with the intention of distributing them and two charges of carrying an illegal weapon with drugs, but that continued without a new date due to the deportation procedures.

According to the Sharif office, the investigation continued. On February 13, inspection orders were submitted in four locations in Alexandria and Benfille due to what was called the release “continued to distribute marijuana on a large scale in the Rapids diocese.”
