In front of a isolated temple in southwestern China, Duan Rorro is carried out with the skill of a series of pieces and strikes, and the practice of kung fu technologies that spent her contract.
Chinese self -defense arts have been a male -dominated field, but a group of Zil Z like Duan represents this assumption and advertising for their Kung Fu School.
“Since I was young, I had a love for fighting arts … I thought girls learned the arts of fighting were very booty,” said Duan, 23, said.
It is believed that the old EMEI school, where it is trained in the Cichuan Mountains, has historically welcomed a higher rate than women and girls. But he did not achieve the same level of general fame as other Kung Fu schools, like Sauline.
This change began in part of the Duan band of nine women, Emei Kung Fu Girls, which is compatible with Swordwork with social media intelligence to help restore the sect to the map.
In slow videos, the band performs everything from fighting scenes to fluctuation in front of the Louvre Museum in Paris, and often supported by the prosperous hip -hop.
They also show their movements alongside drinks or branded cars, although the group refused to comment on whether it earns money from the advertisement.
Since their first appearance last April, they collected more than 23 million views and more than a million followers on Douyin, China’s version of Tiktok.
Duan told AFP that the technical form “has a place in history … so I think it is something worth spreading.”
– A wider audience –
Known all over China for its foggy meeting, Emeishan has attempted in Sichuan Province in recent years to benefit from its cultural reward – with mixed results.
Local customary mineral arts have their origins in the philosophy of ancient Taoism and have developed into a form of defense during the repeated wars of China.
The importance of schools has diminished with the update of weapons, and the ruling Communist Party later suppressed what it considered as a possible historian.
But these policies have been settled since then, and in 2008, Beijing has included the arts of fighting in EMEI as a concrete cultural heritage, and opened money to develop the craft.
The progress was unequal, as city officials admitted in 2023 that the discipline suffered from “lack of recognition between tourists, and publishing is not high.”
The sect is still largely dependent on government money.
He told France Presse that the kung fu girls’ videos were “very good” in bringing local art to a wider audience.
“Embei Military Arts are much more powerful now,” he said.
– Enhancing confidence –
The founding member Duan, who trained since she was twelve years old, said her generation “loves to be independent and independent.”
Some EMEI students have been inspired to continue the fighting arts, including Ren Nianjie, who wants to study it at the university.
“I want to be a sporting … to win the glory of the country,” the 17 -year -old told AFP after he operated a wooden team.
The popular image of women’s fighters in Emei comes largely from the best -selling novels by the author of Hong Kong Louis Cha, who was written under the name of the pen Jane Young.
In fact, boys still exceed the number of girls – although they may not be severe as in other sects.
On Friday evening in February, seven girls were present between 17 primary school students at the nearby martial arts Academy.
The 41 -year -old father, Zhou Hayan, said her daughter Gogo has grown more guaranteed since her course began a year ago.
“When girls have self -confidence, they can be less shy when going out.”
Duan, from Kong Fu, said that she hopes that the group will inspire more young girls to take over the martial arts.
“They may see me training and believe that it is very attractive and wonderful, and they are drawn to learn themselves,” she told AFP.
