The largest drone attack in Ukraine on Moscow kills one of them, and the transportation of air and train disrupts

(Reuters) – The authorities said that Moscow targeted Moscow early on Tuesday, while the largest drone of war appeared on the Russian capital, killing at least one person, which raised fires and suspended air transport and train in the region, the authorities said.

“Today, at four in the morning, a massive attack on drones on Moscow and the Moscow region began,” said the governor of Moscow region, Andrei Furropiov. “At the present time, it is known that one person has died and has three.”

Moscow mayor Sergei Sobianin said at least 69 drones that approached the city were destroyed in several waves.

Moscow and the surrounding area, with a population of at least 21 million people, is one of the largest urban areas in Europe, along with Istanbul.

The Russian Aviation Control Authority said that flights were suspended at all four Moscow airports to ensure air safety after the attacks. Other airports have also been closed in the areas of Yaroslavl and Nizne Novgorod, east of Moscow.

Forbiov said at least seven apartments were damaged and forced the residents to evacuate in a multi -storey building in the Raminskoy area of ​​the Moscow area, about 50 km (31 miles) southeast of the Kremlin.

RIA reported that the railway infrastructure at the train station in the Domodidovo area, about 35 km south of Moscow, was damaged as a result of the decline in drones.

Baza, Telegram News Channel near Russian security services, and other Russian news promotional channels, published videos about many residential fires about Moscow, which they said had originated from the attacks.

These strikes came at a time when the United States is pressuring to end the three -year war in which Russia began invading Ukraine in February 2022. On Tuesday, the American and Ukrainian teams are scheduled to meet in peace talks in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The rulers of the Rayzan region, southeast of the Moscow region, and the Baljuroud region on the border with Ukraine, said that their areas were under the attacks of drones. The regional ruler said that several settlements in the Baljuod region were left without authority.

A drone attack on Moscow, the largest in the war at that point, destroyed at least 34 drones. At least one civilian was killed and dozens of houses destroyed the capital.

Kiev often said that her strikes inside Russia aim to destroy the infrastructure key to the efforts of the comprehensive war in Moscow and responds to the continued bombing of Russia to Ukraine.

The two sides deny the targeting of civilians in the attacks, but thousands of them have died in the conflict so far, the vast majority of them Ukrainian.
