WASHINGTON (AP) – The Trump administration cancels studies on ways to improve vaccine confidence and reach them, a step that comes in the midst of the outbreak of the large measles fueled by non -fortified children.
Researchers who have scholarships from the National Health Institutes to study the reason for some people have questions or concerns about vaccines and how to help those who want to overcome the barriers are obtaining messages that cancel their projects.
The step-which I first reported in the Washington Post, which cited dozens of expected cancellation-is very unusual, as the full areas of research usually do not end in the middle of the road.

The letters of the national health institutes say: “The policy of the national institutes of health is not to give priority to research activities that focus on acquiring scientific knowledge about the reason for the hesitation of individuals in vaccination and/or exploring ways to improve the attention of the vaccine and commitment.”
“It is worrying”, noting that the research does not benefit people or look at the quality of life.
“This is inaccurate. The vaccines clearly save lives, and there is no doubt about the knowledge of that.”
Dr. George Benjamin of the American Public Health Association added: “You cannot say that you are for the safety of vaccines and not to study how people think about vaccines.”
Oliri said that some of the grants that have been canceled are a type that helps in financing the salaries of promising young researchers whose professions may be threatened.
It is the latest step against vaccines since Robert F. Kennedy Junior, Minister of Health in the country, runs the agency that oversees the national health institutes, focuses on controlling and preventing diseases and eating and eating. Kennedy has long criticized vaccines, and since he assumed this new position, he has pledged to investigate the childhood vaccine schedule – the footage that prevents measles, polio and other dangerous diseases – CDC and FDA meetings for independent vaccine consultants have been postponed or canceled.
