Houston (Reuters) – Venezuela’s average oil imports reached 222,000 barrels per day (BPD) in the first 11 months of 2024, according to US Energy Information Management data, making it the fourth largest crude supplier for the United States.
While Venezuela oil represented only 3.5 % of the total crude imports in the United States in November, it was about 13 % of crude oil imported by the US Gulf Coast refineries, according to the environmental measurement.

The Valero Energy Refinery was the best Venezuelan raw buyer in the United States of this period, which represents 44 % of the total, followed by a 22 % pioneer Chevron. PBF Energy bought about 14 % of raw.
