(Reuters) – CORINING Technology has concluded a deal with American solar energy companies Suniva and heline to produce what will be the only solar panel consisting of all US -made components, companies said on Thursday that the Corning Company has concluded a deal with American solar energy companies Suniva and Heline to produce what will be the only solar panel made of all American -made components, companies said on Thursday that the Corning Company has concluded a deal with American solar energy companies Suniva and Heline to produce what will be the only solar plate consisting of all American -made components, companies said on Thursday.

Why is this important

The alliance between the cell maker in Georgia, the heline, and Corning is a meaningful milestone in the efforts made to create an American solar manufacturing sector that can compete with China. Heliene is located in Canada but produces paintings in Minnesota. Corning and the shape of semiconducts produce the sub -chocolate conductors silicon and polycolicon chips, the raw material in the solar energy industry, in Michigan.

Main quote

“Corning is pleased to benefit from our advanced manufacturing experiences to provide high -quality solar components and secure the American energy supply chain,” said AB Ghosh, Vice President of Corning, Director General of Solar Energy Technologies and CEO of Hemlock Semiuductor.

Context

The ability to manufacture US solar energy has grown steadily in recent years thanks to the generous tax credits of clean energy factories listed in the law to reduce inflation in former President Joe Biden.

President Donald Trump has re -focused the country’s energy policy on increasing oil and gas production to the maximum control of climate change, but clean energy companies argue that their business is in line with Trump’s agenda to enhance local energy resources and US jobs.

In numbers

The new unit has a solar cell with a local content of up to 66 percent – the highest in the market, according to companies.

The product will allow solar project developers to qualify to obtain a 10 % local content tax credit in addition to the top credit credit to reduce inflation in clean energy projects by 30 %.
