The case focuses on whether the trio played a role in misleading the server supplier, including by distorting the actual end user of the devices, according to their shipping papers. He was charged with criminal conspiracy against fraud, while a Chinese citizen, 51, was charged with fraud.

Local media, including the broadcaster CNA, reported that the arrests were linked to shipping NVIDIA chips to China.

The police have not provided details of the products that are likely to be involved, nor did they call the computer supplier the server concerned. The Chinese man has been charged with a false representation that a company called Luxuriate Your Life PTE “will be the end user of the elements,” according to his shipping paper.

The police said in a separate statement that these crimes carry a prison sentence for up to 20 years in prison. The police have also made other arrests related to their achievement. In total, the police are investigating 22 people and companies to participate suspects in fraud through wrong representation.
