The Swedish security police say that the clear risks that the security situation in Sweden may get worse.

STOCKOLM (Reuters) – Sweden Security Police (SAPO) said on Tuesday in an annual report on threats facing the country.

The report said that foreign powers are working in ways that threaten security and they use hybrid activities to destabilize Sweden and Europe.

In recent years, the Swedish authorities have falter to increasing threats from both foreign powers such as Russia, China and Iran, groups and extremists participating in acts ranging from violent attacks to hybrid war to companies spying.

“There is a tangible danger that the security situation can deteriorate more and may happen in a difficult way,” Charlotte von Essen, chief of security police said in a statement.
