Mov version: Ving, have you seen the original movie? How did this happen to you?

Feng Rams: They approached my managers. I read the scenario. I did not touch me, and realized in America, that we are not creating films about the human state and human experience. This film contains a boxing background, but it was about the human condition, the human experience, so that it attracted me towards the movie.

MF: Luii, playing the role in the original German version. Regardless of this version in English, how does this version differ from the original and did you deal with it differently?

UUINUNE ‘Paion Group’ Grousman: I think it is almost different in everything because I considered this a completely new project. I mean, not only because I was working with someone like Ving Rhames, who was also different from the German movie when I was with a German co -star. Of course, there were parts we took from the original movie to this movie. My personality still wants to be trained by the boxing legend, etc. But we were shooting this as the story of New York City. I also developed my character with the addition of the second layer. For me, this was a completely new approach compared to the German origin.

Luii

MF: What is interesting to you to play a personality in two parties of her career?

LG: I think this was interesting to me, to have this strong female character in the first part where it was wild, patience and sometimes even on the top. She is trying hard to get what you want. Then later this is the young businesswoman in male dominated boxing. This was a really interesting thing for me, and to get this strong bullets and these time layers that were very different. To be able to combine this and show the development of personality – she did not become a professional boxer as you expect, but she became the manager of boxing, for me is the most interesting approach.

MF: Ving, what attracted you to Elliot in particular, and how do you describe and history as this boxing legend in this part very different from his life?

VR: Well, my father says, there is nothing like the older black man. He has nothing to lose, he could himself, he can say what he wants. So Elliot gave me a lot of freedom and a lot of understanding of Abi.

Luii

MF: You have made your share of films that have boxing as a background. What do you think makes the background of the boxing world convincing and able to tell a wide range of stories?

VR: Like people, sport is global, so I think the presence of a wallpaper, there is a certain amount of fear in sports. You are either good or not. Either you win or lose, in all sports. So I think something about this element adds to the human experience.

MF: Luiii, how did your background as athlete help you prepare to do the movie and the training parts of the movie?

LR: I was a professional athlete in my youth. I tracked a field, in particular, and I think the presence of this background helped me because I know my body well. I know what to do to get the shape. I still work almost every day. I have never done boxing before these boxing films, but I really love sports and how complicated it. It is not only about power – it is very complicated and needs your entire presence at this particular moment. I found it really interesting. I worked in Germany with the former world champion and trained with me two weeks and we had extensive training sessions.

MF: Ving, how was it like doing this long taking, as it seemed as if they were playing, especially unlike many modern films that are cut, cut, and cut all the time?

VR: Well, I think many American films are cut and cut. But whenever you do something international, it is about taking your time, identifying characters, and finding a natural flow, and this is what I think we did in this.

MF: Luiii, I think I understand that there is a lot of improvisation between you. Can you talk about it and also work for Ving?

LR: Yes, of course. It was a great honor for me to work with Ving and such joy, to be honest, because when we first met, there was this openness and this curiosity towards each other, and I think this made it easy for us to work. But then, we also had time, really, on a group to talk about the scenes in advance. We talked to Torsten, the exit, so there was no pressure. Although we have a lot of pages a day, we can take time for every scene. Getting this takes long is a really great opportunity to dive at the present time, in the character. He has really gave us a lot of freedom [connect] With each other.

MF: Ving, you have another movie that comes out this year that is slightly different from this movie. What can you say about “the mission: impossible – the final account”? Do you feel the last one?

VR: He does. I spent very enjoyable time, enjoyed the full experience. This is the first time I create eight films with the staff of the actors itself, which helped me as an actor.

MF: You and Tom the cornerstone of the concession – the only two actors who were in all the eight films.

VR: I will have to hand it over to Tom because Tom is ready to take the risk. He is ready to break the rules. When I read the first text program for the first time, she died on the first ten pages. I said, “Tom, why does the black man always die on the first ten pages?” He said, “Yes, why is this?” So far I just finished eighth, so I thank him.
