The delivery champion said in a statement on Tuesday that Uber is required to pay the termination fees estimated at $ 250 million. In a separate statement to Bloomberg News, Uber spokesman has repeated the disappointment of the company regarding the regulator’s rule, but he said that he respects the decision and will not pursue an appeal.
Delivery champion shares fell up to 5.7 % on Wednesday in Frankfurt. Uber shares fell 3.3 % on Tuesday.
The spokesman said: “We are still committed to Taiwan and we will continue to serve consumers, merchants and delivery partners there in innovative and competitive ways.”
Uber was aimed at completing the deal of all the engraving, which amounted to $ 950 million, by the first half of 2025. The acquisition would be one of the largest Taiwan outside the chips, which was a retreat from the delivery hero of Asia.
The delivery champion in the statement said that Taiwan is still a major part of its long -term strategy.
